Description
Being on the Florida gulf coast, we enjoy a lot of foggy days, especially during the spring and fall. On this foggy morning this alligator patiently waits for the fog to burn off and allow it to soak up some sun. This image was taken at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, containing some of the most beautiful land in Florida, all encapsulated in 68,000 acres of coastline, marsh, swamps, and woodland. St. Marks is a haven for many species of birds, both freshwater and saltwater fish, black bears, deer, bobcat, raccoons, possums, alligators, snakes, and oodles and oodles of mosquitoes.
