Description

Neighborhood gathering may be an odd name for a nature image, but all the neighbors are there! We have the rock family, the Haircap Moss family, the Deer Moss family, the Sweetgum family, the Oak family, along with various others. This image was captured in the Talladega National Forest while backpacking the Pinhoti Trail in NE Alabama. The main message to take from this image is how well these families live and work together to make their community stronger and healthier. Sometimes, I feel we humans could learn a lot from the "Lesser" species.
