Description
The sun was already well below the horizon when this was taken and the scene was so quiet and peaceful. The beautiful Santa Fe River was silently passing by and a lone Barred Owl was announcing its presence in the distance. Florida has so many wondrous and mysterious rivers and the Santa is high on my list of favorites. The Santa Fe, like some other Florida streams disappears underground only to appear again some distance away. At this spot, the Santa Fe emerged from its underground journey several miles upstream and is proceeding to where it joins the historic Suwannee River miles downstream.
