Description
To me, Little Blue Herons are one the prettiest birds on the river. The variations of blue and violet give it such a distinctive look and when the sun hits just right the colors seem to shift in a magical way. This picture was taken on the Wakulla River in north Florida.

I agree! Except here in Naples they are mostly found near our roadway canals and small lakes along the shore or along the boardwalk in our parks. I love that this photo it's perched on a tree branch. Well done!
